adapted from the service-rifle and dated for 1887, with 32in. barrel, block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, fixed notch rear-sight with applied brass tunnel cover, brushed bright receiver with matching number straight handled bolt, chequered walnut full-stock with traces of Imperial ordnance marks and fitted with iron furniture including three barrel-bands and stacking spike to the front of the concealed tubular magazine (currently fixed single shot), strong amount of possibly renewed finish
